Jon Blais (August 30, 1971 – May 27, 2007), also known as Blazeman, was one of the most inspiring triathletes noted for his fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and is the namesake of the Blazeman Foundation. Jon became the only individual with ALS to complete a full Ironman triathlon who once said that the meaning of life is to live life.
With the power and inspiration of Jon Blais by making clear to every human being that "Decision must be instant, and Commitment must be total", Jon became a powerful voice for ALS, using the sport he loved to help promote ALS awareness and fundraising to find a cure for this horrific disease.
You can find out more about his extraordinary life by visiting www.triathloninspires.com/jblaisstory.html and www.waronals.com, where athletes can join Team Blazeman to continue raising awareness and funds for ALS research and support for ALS patients. Thanks, Blazeman!
